🇺🇸😷@COVID19Up: CNN medical ‘expert’ Dr. Leana Wen, previously one of the biggest supporters of making kids wear masks in schools, has confessed in an op-ed for The Washington Post and on Twitter (https://twitter.com/drleanawen/status/1562130107933904899) that forcing her own child to wear a mask hindered his language development.
Wen also recently admitted (https://twitter.com/AC360/status/1490863954700210178) that masks—especially (https://t.me/COVID19Up/12470) cloth ones—don’t work in stopping the spread of COVID-19, stating that “the decision to wear a mask should shift from a government mandate to an individual choice.” This was just two months after she was advocating (https://t.me/COVID19Up/12472) for the Biden administration to “further restrict the activities of the unvaccinated.”
Wen also previously called (https://t.me/COVID19Up/10069) for making it “hard for people to remain unvaccinated” by restricting their freedoms, even stating that children returning to school need to be forced to wear masks and be subjected to weekly SARS-CoV-2 tests until they are “fully vaccinated” against COVID-19.
Now, however, Wen admits masking kids has far too many downsides:
“Masking has harmed our son’s language development, and limiting both kids’ extracurriculars and social interactions would negatively affect their childhood and hinder my and my husband’s ability to work.”
She’s not getting much sympathy.
