Radio host Howard Stern revealed he missed his first week of broadcasts in the new year due to a nasty bout of Covid-19.
On his SiriusXM show Monday, Stern admitted his worst fear had been realized when he contracted Covid — despite recently bragging that he rushed out to CVS to get the latest updated Covid-19 booster as soon as it became available.
“I’m not for stupidity, you know. I ran out Friday morning. I was over at CVS. Thank you, CVS. I went over there 9 a.m. and got myself that new vaccine for Covid. Fucking science. This fucking country is so great,” he said in September 2023.
“We were supposed to be back last week. We weren’t because I got COVID-19,” Stern said, adding, “I just want to announce something. COVID is really bad,” he said. “You do not want COVID. Oh f–k.”
The liberal radio host went on to question how he was able to contract the disease when he’d taken painstaking measures to avoid it, characterizing his current circumstance as “not fair.”
“Finally, it’s not fair, I know, you’re hero wasn’t supposed to get it,” Stern said, according to WTRF.com, adding, “It’s impossible that I got COVID.”
WTRF notes: “Stern said he hasn’t been anywhere, he went to his mother’s and wore his masks the entire time. He also said he saw his assistant and his driver without a mask and they both tested negative.”
The irony in Stern contracting the disease, despite being an admitted hypochondriac who spent several months in an “apocalypse bunker” paranoid over Covid, was not lost on social media users.
In January 2022, just as Covid-19 vaccines were being rolled out, Stern expressed he thought unvaccinated Americans should be banned from receiving hospital treatment, adding they deserved to “go home and die.”
“If it was up to me, anyone unvaccinated would not be admitted to a hospital,” Stern said on his show at the time.
“At this point, they have been given plenty of opportunity to get the vaccine,” he added.
“It’s time for you to get it,” he continued. “Now, if you don’t get it, in my America, all hospitals would be closed to you. You’re going to go home and die. That is what you should get.”
As Fox News notes, “Being vaccinated against COVID has not prevented contraction of the virus, but the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention encourages people to still do so to protect against severe illness and death.”
Infowars wishes Mr. Stern a speedy recovery, and we hope he uses the incident as a learning experience and refuses any future Covid jabs.
