🇺🇸💉@COVID19Up: Only 18% of American parents say they are willing (https://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/3476712-parents-in-no-rush-on-covid-vaccines-for-young-children-poll/) to inject their children under age 5 with a COVID-19 vaccine at this time, according (https://www.kff.org/coronavirus-covid-19/press-release/1-in-5-parents-of-children-under-5-intend-to-get-them-a-covid-19-vaccine-right-away-once-eligible/) to a new poll conducted by the Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF).
No COVID-19 vaccines have been approved for children in that age group. However, the injections could be authorized by the FDA as early as next month.
More than half of the parents with children under age 5 said they did not currently have enough information about the safety and effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccine for kids in that age group to make a decision.
27% said they would definitely not get their child vaccinated and 11% said they would but only if the shot is mandated.
