People were at a loss as to what caused the sky to turn bright green. Some Internet users, suggested they were in the TV series “Very Stranger Things.” Others searched in vain for a scientific explanation of the natural phenomenon.
And there was one. A meteorologist with the U.S. National Weather Service explained that the clouds turned green due to refraction of light from the setting bright sun and interaction with particles of water and ice.
